A painter, sculptor, photographer and film-maker, James Sansing has exhibited throughout the West Coast for several years. He has exhibited his work at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Seattle Art Museum Gallery, Oakland Art Gallery, Southern Exposure, and Ampersand International Arts, and is the recipient of the M.A.C. Affiliate Award from the Headlands Center. He received his MFA from the San Francisco Arts Institute.

For Wolfe Contemporary, Sansing created "Unified Theory," a monumental site-specific installation in concrete, wood, fabric, and metal exhibited thematically with a series of elemental paintings by long-term collaborator Jerad Walker.
