Based in San Francisco, Mark Taylor is a filmmaker and visual artist. His films have been featured at numerous international festivals, including San Francisco, Toronto, Madrid, Rome, Hamburg, London, New York, Chicago, Amsterdam, Athens, Los Angeles and Berlin, as well as having been broadcast on BBC-TV, and SBS-TV (Australia). He has worked for P.O.V./The American Documentary (NYC), Film Arts Foundation (SF), and KQED (SF), and is the creator and producer of Gallery Crawl, MixTape, and The Writers' Block (NPR).
His 2006 limited-edition book Sensing the World by Echo was acquired by the Artist Book Collection at MOMA. Most recently, his 2011 limited-edition book Box Set was selected by Art in America as one of Ten Highlights from the Editions/Artists Book Fair, and was acquired by the New York Public Library, as well as the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. |
